Have you ever thought how a group of professional wedding vendors would design a ballroom to create the WOW factor? The Sheraton LBVR was privileged to host such an event when the Association of Bridal Consultants held their dinnermeeting here on August 23rd.
Guest speaker Simon T. Bailey was present to speak about his new book “The Vuja de Moment!” As a well renowned inspirational speaker he explained “Vuja de (pronounced voo-ja day) implies seeing everything as if for the first time or better still, seeing everything everyone else sees, but understanding it differently”. He encouraged everyone to realize their brilliance and shift their life, career or business to the next level. Our ballroom was taken to the next level!
It was all about the details from the sash on the back of beautiful chiavari chairs to the paper cutout birds swaying below the huge floral centerpieces. The walls were draped with silver fabric and accented with blue up lighting. Fashionable square tables, specialty linens and chargers were used. The stage was set with formal white furniture.
After dinner we adjourned to an adjoining room with dessert and coffee stations where the color was now hot pink. A corner of this room was set with a book shelf display where Simon Bailey offered to sign his book and have a photograph with each guest. Opposite was a light up bar and another area with occasional furniture. Our ballroom with contemporary style chandeliers was definitely a Vuja de experience!
